Stan is a series of letters from 2021 rookies to their veteran comparisons. Though they are all satire, I’d like to think they are really in the rookies’ diaries.
What’s going on man? It’s me, Jaylen. First of all, sorry about the Super Bowl. Watching your speed and ability has been eye-opening. The way you can create that separation… really stood out to me, it’s just too bad y’all couldn’t piece it together for that last game.
I’ve been training trying to emulate the things you do. Man, I even had you on my fantasy team last year (thanks!). I know I’m fast, but man, you’re lightening fast. I love the way you play the game. We definitely gotta race at some point. Maybe do something for charity or something. I mean, you’ve seen what I can do on the field. I think I can be a better you. Tua’s not Mahomes, but he can throw that ball. Don’t be surprised if we end up in that AFC Championship game with y’all. Your defense can’t hold me. Lol. Can’t wait to play you, big bro.
Your biggest fan,
